Meaning “strong” in Spanish, this variety has Mexican/Guatemalan origins. Fuerte avocados and are slightly larger and more elongated than their Hass cousins and characterized by its deep emerald color and smooth but thinner skin.
Weighing between 200-300grams on average, Fuertes are emerald green in color with a creamy taste and similar oil content to the Hass variety. And just like its Hass cousin, the Fuerte offers the same potent line-up of vitamins, minerals, and heart health omega-3 fatty acids.
